Roads of Serbia Looking for Contractors for Reconstruction of Kovin Bridge on the Danube – Works Worth EUR 13.3 Million

The PE Roads of Serbia has published the tender for the rehabilitation of the bridge on the Danube on the Smederevo-Kovin state road section. This pertains to the works on the Kovin Bridge, whose value has been estimated at RSD 1.56 billion (around EUR 13.3 million).

The section planned for the reconstruction has a total length of 1,424.4 meters. With the new design, the width of the existing driving lane of 8.5 m with two traffic lanes and a gross width of pedestrian lanes of 175 cm have been kept.

The option with the pedestrian lanes elevated from the driving lane by 7 cm has been adopted. Stone curbs and protective steel fences are to separate the driving lane from the pedestrian traffic areas.

An anti-skid coating with water insulation and anti-sliding properties is planned for the pedestrian lanes.

The selected contractors will be given two years, that is, 730 calendar days for the completion of the full works.
