Additional EUR 1 billion from state budget for construction and reconstruction of roads in next four years

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, announced today that, in the next four years, an additional EUR 1 billion would be secured for the construction and reconstruction of regional and local roads in the whole Serbia.

Visiting the site of the works on the construction of the Sabac-Loznica fast route, he said that, the night before, in agreement with the minister of finance, Sinisa Mali, additional funds had been found in the budget for the next four years, EUR 250 million each for regional and state roads for the whole Serbia.

– So, an additional EUR 1 billion. That’s good news for people in Serbia, which means that nearly everywhere, in every part of Serbia, people will see a huge progress in the construction and reconstruction and renewal of roads – said Vucic.

He pointed out that the funds would be meant only for local and regional roads.

– Those are perhaps the most important traffic routes, which bring roads to people’s homes and farms – said Vucic.
