Zajecar Planning Full Reconstruction of Healthcare Center – Plan Includes New Maternity Ward, Gerontology Center, Reconstruction of Health Center… (PHOTO)

At the Healthcare Center Zajecar, those in charge plan the reconstruction and extension of several facilities, and the completion of the first phase is expected by 2027.

– Yesterday, after the completion of the reconstruction of the Children’s Department with the children’s dispensary, at the Healthcare Center Zajecar, with a total area of over 3,000 m2 (until the opening, it only remains to pave the traffic routes and the parking lot, worth over RSD 20 million, and to bring in the equipment), we also considered the projects of the 1st phase of the reconstruction of the HC Zajecar and the HC Kotlujevac with the partner planning studio – said the mayor of Zajecar, Bosko Nicic.

According to him, the plan is to build a Gerontology Center with palliative care with an area of 8,905 m2, to reconstruct the Health Center (8,055 m2) with an extension of the sports medicine and physical therapy department and to build a diagnostic center (MR imaging, scanners, a mammogram…) with an area of 906 m2.

The reconstruction and extension of the Gynecology-Obstetrics Department with a total area of 2,661 m2 with one- and two-bed rooms, with their own bathrooms, is also planned.

Nicic also said that the plan was to reconstruct and extend the Health Station Kotlujevac (around 1,400 m2).

– The completion of all the facilities within the 1st phase is expected by 2027, and from 2026, the works on the facilities of the 2nd phase of the reconstruction of the entire HC Zajecar are expected to begin as well – Nicic announced.
