General Hospital and Tram from Niska Banja to Airport – Which Projects Are Envisaged in Strategy of Development of Urban Area

The construction of the General Hospital, “Veletrznica”, the so-called social apartments, as well as introducing a tram line from Niska Banja to the airport and a tourist train from Nis to Svrljig, are some of the projects encompassed by the Draft Strategy of Development of the Urban Planning Area of the City of Nis and the municipalities of Svrljig, Merosina and Gadzin Han, about which the public discussion is in progress.

The City of Nis and the three surrounding municipalities started the development of the Strategy in 2022, together with the Regional Development Agency “Jug”, and all this is supported by the European Union through the EU PRO Plus program.

When these projects from the Strategy are to be realized is not specified in its draft, which is 200 pages long.

In the “Implementation” part, it is said that the implementation of the Strategy will begin immediately after its adoption.
