Less than a third of the planned investments in the Belgrade has been carried out, as seen from the report on the realization of the 2022 budget, which will be on the agenda on the session of the City Assembly next Tuesday, stated the director of the Center for Local Self-Government, Nikola Jovanovic.

– The Secretariat for Investments has realized only 28.9% of the planned projects, that is, 4.4 billion remains unused, which means drastically fewer reconstructions of streets, sewer and water systems, fewer reconstructed schools, kindergartens and health centers – Jovanovic said.

He added that the low level of investments was Belgrade’s systemic problem.

– Due to which the existing infrastructure is going to ruin, and the new one does not follow the tempo of the development of apartment building, which is why the quality of life in the capital of Serbia is falling down drastically, and that is the exclusive responsibility of the city administration and the mayor – Jovanovic concluded.
