Deadline for Completion of Designing of National Academy for States of Emergency and Training of Ship Crew Members in New Belgrade by Summer – “Green Building Permit” Also Requested

The construction of the National Academy for States of Emergency and Training of Ship Crew Members, which is planned in New Belgrade, is slowly moving toward the beginning of the realization.

As the carrier of the project, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has submitted the request for deciding on the necessity of the environmental impact assessment of this project to the Secretariat for Environmental Protection of the City of Belgrade.

The preparation of the preliminary design, the contract for which was won at the tender opened in 2020 by the consortium led by Energoprojekt urbanizam i arhitektura a.d. Beograd, is in progress. According to the contract, the deadline for the completion of the job, which has been extended several times so far, is by the end of June this year.

In January last year, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Internal Affairs signed the memorandum of cooperation on the realization of the National Academy project, when it was said that the investment would contribute to the raising of human capacities and increased safety on our rivers.

As eKapija has written before, the location on which the National Academy is to be built is between the highway E-70 (Belgrade-Zagreb), the runway of the Nikola Tesla Airport and the Bezanija Cemetery.

The campus is planned as a higher education institution, consisting of several groups of facilities for theoretical and practical education (amphitheaters, classrooms, libraries, spaces for the simulation of the optimal conditions on ships), outdoor training (training grounds, pools, exercise grounds…), and it will also have capacities for the accommodation, catering and socializing of the participants in the program (dormitories, cafeteria, central kitchen, halls and spaces for socializing in free time…).

Within a total of 4 facilities, the plan includes, among other things, a hall for pools, a hotel on 3,708 m2, a sports hall and a facility for the administration and the accommodation of the users of the National Training Center for States of Emergency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A gas boiler room is planned for the heating of the entire complex and the preparation of sanitary hot water.
