Export of Plastic Packaging Agreed with Egypt, Country Also Interested in Wine, Edible Oil, Food and Confectionery Products

The president of the City Assembly of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic Palma, stated that Jagodina would accept the proposition of the governor of South Sinai, Khaled Fouda Saddiq Mohammed, for one of the most famous Egyptian tourist center Sharm El Sheikh and the center of Pomoravlje to become twin cities.

Governor Fouda handed over the keys to Sharm El Sheikh to Markovic and proposed the twinning with Jagodina.

He said that, in the past days, businessmen from Serbia had met with businessmen from Egypt on several occasions and that the export of plastic packaging to the Sinai Peninsula had already been agreed.

– The Egyptians especially showed an interest in the import of wine, edible oil, food and confectionery products. We could export everything except oil to Egypt. Economic cooperation with Egypt would be an opportunity for Serbia to revive the production of meat, which has dropped down quite a bit in the past years – Markovic said.

A delegation of 144 medical workers from 25 health centers, business people, agriculturists and priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church, led by the president of the City Assembly of Jagodina, Dragon Markovic Palma, were on a visit to Sharm El Sheikh, the tourist center in the south of the Sinai Peninsula.

The delegation from Serbia was on a visit to Sharm El Sheikh until October 2, at the invitation of Governor Fouda.
