Air Serbia has announced that, since July 5, it has carried out 224 charter flights to destinations in Turkey and Egypt and that it will continue carrying out charter flights after October as well.

So far, a total of 144 flights to Turkey have been carried out, whereas there have been 80 flights to popular destinations on the Red Sea, the press release says.

They remind that charter traffic toward Egypt was established on August 4, when Air Serbia's aircraft took off for Hurghada.

As said, the current plan is for flights to Turkish summer resorts on the Mediterranean to be available until the end of October, whereas, the flights to Egypt, due to a longer season, will continue after October as well.

– Keeping in mind the coronavirus pandemic and the projections that left no room for optimism at the beginning of the summer season, we can say that we are quite satisfied with the results we've achieved – said Bosko Rupic, Head of Trade and Corporate Sales at Air Serbia.

As specified, the national airline carrier has so far carried out 124 flights to Antalya and 20 flights to Bodrum, whereas, of the total number of flights to Egypt, 76 were to Hurghada and four to Sharm El Sheikh.

The routes are operated by Airbus A319 and Boeing B737 aircraft with 144 seats each.
