The German company Groschopp, which plans to produce electric motors, has given up on the lease of space in the village of Zabare near Topola, so the municipality will soon offer it another option, stated Dragan Jovanovic, a member of the Municipal Council. He told the Beta agency that the decision had been made by Wolfgang Pflug, the company’s owner, following a visit to the facility in the village of Zabare, where the space was supposed to be leased, where he saw a swastika graffiti, which, as Jovanovic said, he found offensive.

– Groschopp has given up on Zabare, but not Topola. After the signing of the memorandum on cooperation with the municipality, they formally opened a daughter company in Topola – said Jovanovic.

He announced that space in another location or a parcel for the construction of a factory would soon be offered to the German partner.

According to Jovanovic’s earlier announcements, Groschopp will invest EUR 1 million in the Topola factory and employ 25 workers in the first phase, along with the planned expansion of capacities and additional employments.

In the location of the current community home in the village of Zabare, the German investor was supposed to open an electric motor factory.

As reported by TopPress, the residents urged for the home not to be sold, but leased, and also urged against the demolition of the residence (“konak”) of Prince Milos, located right behind the home and under protection.
