Production in free zones makes 20% of Serbian export

During a tour of the Free Zone in Svilajnac, Ristic stated that in 2014 export of companies in free zones totaled more than two billion euros, while turnover was five billion euros.

According to him, although there is no data for 2015 yet because zone are required to submit business report for the previous year by the end of March, “figures are higher than in 2014, which means that zones show significant results."

According to data from 2014, there were about 19,000 people who worked in free zones and the number is constantly increasing.

As he estimated, 14 free zones that currently exist are sufficient for Serbia.
