The citizens of Belgrade will soon get another shopping center, in Vozdovac. What will make this facility unique is a stadium on its top. Namely, the Austrian company Krammer&Wagner&Illmaier is successfully implementing a project of regional market importance - the construction of Stadion Shopping Center, which will feature a football stadium on its roof. Preliminary work on the project commenced in early 2011, while main works are now underway. The big opening ceremony of this shopping center is expected to take place in October 2012.

As the third facility of the kind in Europe, the shopping center with a football stadium on its roof will become a tourist attraction of the capital city of Serbia. It will consist of four levels, three of which will feature office space, while the stadium will be situated on the fourth level. There will also be a movie theater within the shopping center.

The company Krammer&Wagner&Illmaier, headquartered in Vienna, has been successfully engaged in real estate business for more than 15 years. As the market leader in trade and shopping centers in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania, this company offers comprehensive, innovative solutions based on knowledge and experience.

Stadion Shopping Center is located in the old part of the city, in Vozdovac, in an urban area of one of Belgrade's 17 boroughs. It is directly connected to the highway and the city center via Oslobodjenja Boulevard. Thanks to its good position, Stadion Shopping Center will serve people living at Autokomanda, Dusanovac, Diplomatska Kolonija, Banjica (and the Banjica Forest), Trosarina, Banjica II, Kumodraz and Brace Jerkovic. It will also be easy to reach this shopping center by using public or private transport. One thing is for sure: it will be very attractive to both citizens of Belgrade and tourists.

This facility will also be unique for its capacity. The complex will span a total of nearly 74,600 square meters, stretching to two levels under the ground.

A hypermarket, bank offices, bakeries, pharmacies and cosmetic stores will be situated on the ground floor. The first floor will feature fashion stores, most of which will be directly connected to the second floor. In addition to fashion items, the second floor will also offer staff for kids and electronics. A football stadium will be located on the third floor. Stadion Shopping Center will also comprise a food court with a balcony as well as a multiplex movie theater.

The football stadium on the third floor is designed in line with contemporary economic, social and environmental standards prescribed by UEFA. Its design and shape will provide ideal conditions for the organization of various sports events and enable spectators to enjoy a perfect experience. According to the license, the stands can hold 5,000 people.

As a result, this project will contribute to the revival of a new spirit in modern architecture in this part of Belgrade, said people at Krammer&Wagner&Illmaier. Besides, Stadion Shopping Center will initiate some new trends and attract new brands to Serbia.

- Serbia and Austria share the same past. A close economic cooperation only brings us even closer. Serbia, on its path to the EU, is a country with great potentials for economic development. Austrians are the biggest investors in Serbia, which is another reason for us to believe in the success of this project. Belgrade and Stadion Shopping Center will be a great tourist attraction, always at the service of consumers - said Edith Illmaier, director of Krammer&Wagner&Illmaier Serbia.
