Sokobanja opens aqua park on October 17th
The municipality of Sokobanja has announced that the aqua park in Podina will be opened on 17 October 2011. The opening ceremony will be attended by Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic, who was also the one to announce the commencement of works on that aqua park, Sokobanja Mayor Dimitrije Lukic, and MP Dejan Nikolic.
Exactly a year ago, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the project envisaging the construction of an aqua park in Sokobanja. Funds for the implementation of this project were provided as an aid to the construction industry.
One year after the first information was received, and six months after the commencement of works, this aqua park is completed.
The complex, spanning a total of 1.6 ha, comprises a semi-Olympic swimming pool with all sports equipment, a pool for adults and kids (swimming pool for recreation and fun), a swimming pool with 3 water slides, and an administrative building with accompanying facilities.
The agreed value of the works was RSD 133.3 million, and the contractors were ZTR Gas Oil from Sokobanja, Gradi-Tel doo from Sarbanovac-Bor, Ingel from Knjazevac, Zona-DIS doo
from Kursumlija, and VK Kompani doo from Sokobanja.
