(the look of future complex on the Drina)
Rarely anyone knows that Serbs also have their Brioni. The tourist complex next to the Drina river in Ljubovija, built in the 1980's, is going to be reconstructed and the lovers of nature, hunting and fishing will get a new place for resting and recreation in early 2012.
The owner of Brioni je is Atomska Banja Gornja Trepca (Gornja Trepca Atomic Spa), which is going to invest about 0.5 million euros in reconstruction of that tourist complex.
The author of the project is Arandjelovac-based Plan, which has drawn plans for a complex on 2 ha that is directly connected to the quay on the Drina. In addition to a hotel, suites and outdoor sports fields, there will also be an indoor swimming pool and a wellness center.
- The hotel reconstruction will be accompanied by the construction of suites, a parking lot, and courts for basketball, volleyball and tennis. This tourist complex will have 130 beds. It will be a paradise for fishermen, hunters, mountain climbers. The construction should commence in May 2011 and, if everything goes as planned, the first guests will be received in early 2012 - says Dragan Jovovic, the new Director of Atomic Spa, and adds that twenty people will get jobs in that tourist complex.
He assumed the position of the Director of Atomic Spa in October and he says that his primary tasks are: rationalization of operations and implementation of the started investments.
Gornja Trepca Atomic Spa, located in the vicinity of Cacak, has an ambition to become the European rehabilitation center for people suffering from multiple sclerosis and cerebral paralysis. Since their capacities are fully occupied and that they even accommodate guests in the private sector, this medical institution has started construction of another facility in Gornja Trepca.
Works on the construction of a new hospital within Atomic Spa, which are entrusted to Bajina Basta-based company Mihajlovic, go as planned, and people in that center expect to be able to receive the first guests already in July 2011.
According to the project made by Plan from Arandjelovac, this contemporary medical facility will occupy a total of 3,000 square meters, it will have three floors and attic and 122 beds in luxury rooms and suites, as well as medical offices and wards for hydro, electric and kinesitherapy.
