Bobar Group builds four-star hotel in Trebinje - Project authored by Novi Sad-based DBA architectural studio
Bobar Group presented on Friday, September 10, in Trebinje a preliminary solution for a four-star hotel that is going to be built in the city center and cost about EUR 8m. The contents offered by this hotel will make it unique in Herzegovina and comparable with hotels in other bigger centers in the surroundings. It will be built in the location of current Grafokomerc printing firm, and it will occupy the surface area of 7,500 square meters.
Bobar CEO Gavrilo Bobar confirmed that the hotel would be mainly financed by Bobar Group and added that the planning was going to be done intensively during the next five months, after which construction of the hotel would start and should be finished prior to October 2012.
- With the construction of this hotel, the existing hotel in Trebinje is not going to get a competition. The new hotel will be serve as a supplement to these facilities and it will satisfy the needs of businessmen, sportsmen and tourists - said Bobar and pointed out that that hotel would help Trebinje's tourist offer get a high mark.
A modern spa-center will be built within the hotel and it will, in addition to a swimming pool, also have a gym, sauna and a hydro-massage block, rooms fit for sportsmen, as well as other modernly furnished rooms and luxury suites, super modern multifunctional congress block, outlets for post and bank offices, boutiques and other contents usually owned by hotels around the world.
The preliminary solution for the hotel was presented by architect Djordje Bajilo from Novi Sad-based DBA architectural studio, which is "responsible" for the appearance of the hotel that will represent a blend of contemporary architecture and the reconstructed facility of the administrative building of Grafokomerc, former barracks of Austrian-Hungarian Army from the beginning of the 19th century. In the following period, DBA Studio will be intensively working on elaboration of complete main projects, interior and hotel equipping and furnishing projects.
Bobar announced that the hotel construction would lead to employment of a large number of young people who would be educated for that job, while head managers would be hired from the world-famous hotels.
He pointed out that the hotel construction in the location of current printing firm did not mean that the latter would cease to exist. Instead, construction of a hall where machines from the existing building of Grafokomerc will be moved to will run parallel to the construction of the hotel.
