The construction of a sports and recreation center and a residential complex, on around 11 hectares, should soon start near the Zvezdara Forest, Novosti writes.
The detailed regulation plan for this zone went through the parliamentary procedure and was adopted at a recent session.
Several sports facilities will be built, and the complex will feature courts for football, basketball, handball, volleyball and tennis, outdoor pools and a mini aqua park.
The plan envisages a residential complex for around 1,100 tenants, along with an annex for a preschool institution for 80 children.
A new traffic route, six meters wide, with sidewalks two meters wide on both sides, is planned between Pante Sreckovica and Ljubice Lukovic streets.
