Tender for Stara Planina mountain extended due to global financial crisis

Deadline for submission of bids on the tender for co-investor for tourist complex "Jabučko ravnište" on Stara Planina mountain has been extended due to global financial crisis.

- Having in mind possible effects that the global financial crisis could have on the potential investors, we came to the conclusion that it would be the best to extend the tender deadlines - said Igor Aranđelović, Director of company "Stara planina", and he added that that project was of great importance to Serbia.

As it was announced on October 6, 2008, the new deadline for submission of bids is December 3, while the guarantee for participation in the tender now amounts to 1.5m EUR instead of former 2m EUR.

The tender was announced on September 16 and it concerns the first phase of development of complex at about 110 ha of state-owned land. The previous deadline for submission of bids was November 7.

The first phase anticipates investments of 154m EUR in catering, recreation and entertainment facilties, 50m EUR in ski tracks and 30m EUR in public utility infrastructure.
