Hotels Ozren and Partizan in Niska Banja soon to be put up for sale again
The famous hotels Ozren and Partizan in Niska Banja, which have been out of operation for years, might get new owners next year, as they are to be put on a public auction, according to the president of the Municipality of Niska Banja, Dejan Jovanovic.
Conditions for opening an auction met only several days ago, after the Tax Administration put Ozren and Partizan under mortgage, because, as Jovanovic explains, the former owner Srba Ilic had failed to pay taxes.
– There were 28 annotations related to the hotels, preventing the auction. A few days ago, the last one was retracted and we now expect the Tax Administration to open an auction as soon as possible. We might know the exact date on Monday – Jovanovic said.
He adds that the sale of the hotels will lead to their development, improving the image of Niska Banja.
– All the hotels should get a new owner. It's all the same to me whether it's Srba Ilic or a new owner. What's important to me is for the hotels to be operational – Jovanovic said.
Let us remind that, during the privatization, the hotels were sold to Srbijaturist, owned by Srba Ilic, an American businessmen of Serbian origin, since which time they have been closed.
Ilic sold Ozren and Partizan to his own company from Ruma in 2014, but the Tax Administration put both hotels under mortgage due to failure to pay taxes.
