Jagodina to allow construction of high-rises with over 15 floors
The City Council of Jagodina has reached the decision on the construction of tourism, commercial and residential high-rises of over 15 floors, which, as the decision states, will enhance the city visually and act as a recognizable symbol.
The explanation of the decision, signed by president of the City Council and the mayor of Jagodina, Ratko Stevanovic, says that the General Urban Plan allows the construction of such facilities, “recognized by the city as facilities of special significance for its development”.
– The construction of such facilities will create the possibilities for hiring contractors from the territory of Jagodina, as well as conditions for further employments in the future facility. All this will bring down the price of a square meter in residential-office facilities compared to the current prices – the explanation says.
The City Council has also determined that the contribution for the development of building land for the construction of such facilities “should be RSD 5,450 per square meter of net area, regardless of the urban block and the zone of the location”.
The final authorization of the City Council's decision will be given by the members of the City Assembly at the session on October 25.
Let us remind that the president of the City Assembly of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic Palma, recently stated that the construction of two residential buildings with 25 floors each, featuring pools and a heliport, would start in March 2018.
The buildings, as Markovic explained, will be built by Bogoljub Karic's BK group and will be located close to the Tourism Center, whereas “a square meter of residential space will cost EUR 499, around EUR 200 less than the current average price in Jagodina”.
At the moment, Jagodina doesn't feature a single residential facility of over 10 floors.
