Delta to start building shopping mall in Nis in February 2018 – Project worth EUR 80 million
(Planned look of Delta Planet Nis) Delta Holding is planning to build a shopping center Delta Planet in Nis and the works are expected to begin in February 2018, the company confirmed to eKapija.
As Delta says, the value of the project is EUR 80 million.
The construction is supposed to take 15 months, and once the facility is completed, Nis will get a new shopping zone in two tiers with a large number of outlets, cafes, restaurants...
The new shopping mall, they say, will have “easily accessible entrances with an attractive amphitheater, with restaurants above the entrances providing a panoramic view of the the city, as well as entertainment zones which will make the offer more complete and enable people of all ages to enjoy the experience throughout the day”.
– We can't disclose which brands will be available until the contracts are signed, but, considering Delta's many years of experience in managing shopping malls, we will bring world-renowned brands to Nis and enrich the existing offer – Delta Holding says.
The future shopping center is supposed to also feature 880 parking spaces.
The location, the former premises of Nis Ekspres, has been known from before. Delta bought it back in 2008 and soon announced the construction of a shopping center.
The parcel has a total of 6.96 hectares, whereas the section meant for the shopping mall itself amounts to 4.63 hectares. The shopping mall will take up a total of 40,000 square meters.
When asked why they waited nearly 10 years to start realizing the project, the company says that “the conditions and circumstances have now met for a shopping mall to be raised in Nis”.
– Delta completes each project it starts. To make sure this happens, we enter each project only after we have made a careful plan and seen that the circumstances are favorable and that the necessary conditions have been met – Delta Holding explains for eKapija.
