The City of Belgrade has issued a building permit for the construction of the retail park in Rakovica. As stated in the decision, the facility will have nearly 19,000 square meters and around 800 parking spaces, of which 39 for the disabled.

The investor is RCP Projekt d.o.o., and the project might create around 300 new jobs.

The building permit includes location requirements, and the investor must remove the facilities of the Rekord factory before the beginning of the construction, in line with the Law on Planning and Construction.

According to the head urban planner, Milutin Folic, the adoption of the new General Urban Plan creates conditions for investors to invest more. He also said that the planning documentation covered more than 50% of the city territory at the moment.

The facility in Rakovica is to be built in stages and will contain a hypermarket, commercial premises and a movie theater.
