Opening of "Mercator" center in Niš postponed for March 20
- Opening of shopping center "Mercator" in Niš has been postponed for two weeks and it will take place on March 20 - said the spokesperson of company "Mercator Srbija", Sanja Šegrt, yesterday (March 4, 2008).
She said that the opening had been postponed for technical reasons, that is, because of the delay in carrying out of the finishing works on the facility, and she also added that the standards of "Mercator" must be respected.
"Mercator" center in Niš was supposed to be opened on March 6th. "Mercator" in Niš has the surface of about 32,000 square meters, it is worth 25m EUR, and it will have 260 workers in "Mercator's" contents.
According to the announcements from "Mercator Srbija", which is a part of "Mercator" group with the headquarters in Slovenia, Niš-based trade center will be of the same rank as the shopping center in Ljubljana and it is more modern than "Mercator" facilities in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Čačak.
In addition to hypermarket, of which surface is about 4,000 square meters, "Mercator" will also encompass branded outlets in the Fashion Avenue, as well as stores with sports gear "Intersport" and "Modiana".
