Multifunctional sports hall, stadium and Olympic pool – Here's what might be built within SRC Kosutnjak
Sports and recreation center Kosutnjak in the Municipality of Cukarica might get a complete makeover. A reconstruction is planned of the 12.7 ha location by creating new features and renewing the existing ones. Among the objects planned are a multifunctional sports hall for all sports, a closed Olympic pool, a stadium with stands and race tracks and a tennis club.
The public will be given access to the urban plan with a conceptual design for the appendage and construction of objects at SRC Kosutnjak at c.p. 13444 at the CM Cukarica until June 14, 2016.
According to the plan, the building for the management and health facilities should get new operating rooms and a section for medical exams of athletes. The reconstruction, more precisely the extension, of room capacities at the hotel Trim in Kneza Viseslava St. is also planned.
Regarding the sports contents, the construction is planned of a modern recreation stadium with 640 seats and a green roof in place of the existing football court.
The new look of the sports and recreation center Kosutnjak will be rounded up by a closed Olympic pool of the surface of 5,625 m2.The construction of a multifunctional sports hall of 7,375 m2 is also planned. This sports hall will be the site of various sports events, and the object will contain commercial and sports features, waiting rooms, health facilities and the administrative section.
The investor for the construction works is the Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine of the Republic of Serbia, whereas the designer of the urban plan is Otvoreni Atelje Grada – Arhitekton.
