In late November 2015, Delta will start construction of the InterContinental hotel in Ljubljana - A total of EUR 42 m to be set aside for luxurious facility

(InterContinental hotel Ljubljana) By the end of the year, Delta Holding will start the construction of the InterContinental hotel in Ljubljana, the company has announced today after it signed the contract with InterContinental Hotels Group on hotel management in capital of Slovenia.

Development of project documentation and interior has been in progress and total investment of Delta Holding will total EUR 42 m.

- Construction of the hotel in Ljubljana will most likely start in late November and the hotel will open its doors in late 2016 or early 2017 - Marija Desivojevic Cvetkovic, VP of Delta Holding for strategy and development after signing the contract said for eKapija.

InterContinental Beograd is waiting for a permit

(InterContinental Beograd) Representatives of Delta Holding said they are partially sorry for the fact that the first InterContinental hotel will not be built in Belgrade but they hope that they will have understanding of city services and that the permit for construction will follow very soon.

VP of InterContinental Hotels Group" for development of Europe, Philipe Bijaoui said Belgrade is one of his favorite European cities, especially outlining advantage of Belgrade’s airport and a large number of luxurious hotels in Serbian capital.

As previously state, InterContinental Beograd will be built in Block 20, between the Delta Holding building and the Hyatt hotel. It will have 220 rooms, a luxurious spa center, a large banquet hall and a few smaller conference halls. Together with the land and construction, it was estimated the investment will total EUR 40 m.
