Today starts forced payment collection for 100.000 electricity debtors
Forced payment collection for 100.000 electricity debtors which have debts until November 2013 will start today, EPS Snabdevanje announced.
Consumers have been warned and they had enough time to settle their debts and for all of them who did not do it, forced payment will be implemented, EPS Snabdevanje announces adding that subject will be chosen accidentally.
Regardless of the debt amount, debtors will, as it was announced, apart from the debt amount an interest rate defined by the law, be obliged to pay execution costs totaling RSD30.000 fixed and total RSD 4.200 and for total amounts they are calculated in line with the scale defined and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.
- Debtors who now pay their debts cannot avoid private executors because execution subjects have already been delivered- GM at EPS snabdevanje, Zeljko Markovic said and added that apart from that, there are interest rates as well as the “execution costs”.
Speaking about “other debtors with lower amounts and are not grouped in this forced payment", Markovic said that electricity will be cut because “for a debt over RSD 10.000 there are cuts which are constant”.
Private executors which received equal number of subjects from EPS, expect that one part out 100.000 debtors will pay immediately and a part which does not do it, forced payment will last from a few months to a year.
Executors engaged on forced payment collection say that in the beginning they go on site alone and when estimated that it is necessary, they are followed by the police.
Since it started operations a year ago, citizens own some RSD 20 billion to EPS Snabdevanje.
