Foundry on wasteland – Slovenian company "Ferolegure" builds factory worth 40m EUR in Majdanpek
In Industrial Zone Majdanpek, not far away from the factory of copper pipes, the preparation works on construction of up-to-date foundry for production of ferrosilicium have begun.
Construction of this unit worth more than 40m EUR on wasteland is currently the largest "greenfield" investment in Serbia and it is financed by Slovenian company "Ferolegure".
According to the announcement, the factory will have two furnaces and the up-to-date equipment, which meets the highest ecological criteria. It is expected that this unit will employ 200 workers for start.
Slovenians have already signed contracts on purchase of electricity with the representatives of EPS, while they bought the land for construction of factory, which will be export-oriented, from the Copper Mine "Majdanpek".
