Serbian fuel in line with German recipe - Naftachem in Sremski Karlovci starts production of adidiesel which decreases consumption and protects motor
Fuel consumption decreases for at least2%, lower hazardous exhaust gasses emission from motors and competitiveprice are the main features of adidiesel. In less than two months, almost threemillion liters of this fuel has been tanked in Serbia.
Milovan Gacina, Commercial Manager at Naftachem speaks for eKapija howrelatively small business opted for starting production of additive fuel, howhigh technology, investments and serious approach to business can result in Europeanproduct in Serbia, what the advantage of it is compared to other fuels, whatdemand for adidiesel is.
- When in the mid last year, both in the legal terms, so-called dirty fuelswere eliminated, the offer of more than 400 private gas stations decreased totwo or maybe three oil derivatives, including gas. Empty tanks, free tankingplaces, etc. were left at private gas stations. At the same time, in their neighborhood, stations owned by the international companies were offering two derivatives ofhigher quality more. Since they were protected brands distributed solely withinclosed systems it was impossible to get to these fuels so they were in anunderestimated position. That was our trigger.
Our collocutor mentions that at that moment they got all necessary licensesfor the start of the operations of oil terminal in Sremski Karlovci where morethan EUR 16 mil was invested.
Gacina points out they were lucky since leading expert of the company foradditives came to the warehouse personally. After he checked technical optionsof Naftachem, met with the market situation and heard wishes of the companyheads, he produced a recepie.
A special diesel package of additives was done for Naftachem - summer optionwith five additives and winter option containing an additive for lowtemperature features.
This year, April 18, officially, Sremski Karlovci sent the first adidiesel quantity. We asked our collocutor whether it can be said it is Serbian product.
- Yes. Top additives in line with the latest German technologies were mixedwith domestic diesel fuel in our own fuel additive processing and filtering facilityin line with EU quality standards.
Unlike competitive products sold at our market and are created at the globallevel in line with EU consumers’ requests, Naftachem points out they made a producthaving in mind only special features of Serbian market.
Before they started distribution, Department for agricultural technique atthe Faculty for agriculture in Novi Sad carried out contrastive examination ofperformances, fuel consumption, hazardous adidiesel gasses emission, importedand domestic fuel.
- This is a national research station and research was carried out in linewith OECD standard. The conclusion is that usage of adidiesel compared to two remainingkinds of fuels, increases motor power for 3, 1% on the average while specificfuel consumption falls for 3,3%. Adidiesel consumption decreases CO2 emissionfor 4, 33% on the average. This experiment, carried out by well-known names inthe science field and the Faculty of Agriculture, is available for the publicat adidizel.rs – a collocutor of eKapija says.
- Trust we were building in the past seven years helped us convince buyersto try something new and to replace a good thing with even better one.
As Naftachemrepresentatives say, customers such as Pionirpetrol, Almex, Gebruder Weiss, Bata, Lagermax, Simtim and others, are the bestpromoters of adidiesel and good word-of-mouth when it comes to local additivediesel spreads.
