Milutin Folic named new city architect of Belgrade
Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali has appointed Milutin Folic, graduate engineer of architecture, as the city architect.
Milutin Folic was born in 1979 in Pristina. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade in 2004 and won numerous scholarships as one of the best students of the generation.
As a member of the project team "David Cherky & Ass", he worked in Israel in 2001 on the renovation and reconstruction of the Hayehodim Street and on designs for several buildings in the Upper Town of Jerusalem. In 2002, he worked as a member of the project team "Barbosa & Corbucci Arquitetos Ass" in Brazil on the Victoria International Airport project in Victoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil.
Following his graduation in 2004, he has authored and co-authored various projects, including a number of business and commercial facilities, the most notable of which are: Green Hill Dedinje suite complex of 11,000 square meters in Belgrade, the production and business facility EuroBravo in Belgrade, preliminary designs for 65-floor and 120,000sqm Ho Chi Minh Tower in Saigon, Vietnam, urban designs for several buildings in Belgrade...
He founded the bureau Folic Architects doo in 2008 as a partner and the main architect. Folic speaks five languages: English, French, Spanish, Russia and Portuguese.
