Krka tops list of Slovenian exporters

According to the rankings published by the daily Delo, the pharmaceutical industry Krka from Novo Mesto is the largest export company in Slovenia.

Krka generated over EUR 1.11 billion from exports in 2013, which accounts for about 5% of Slovenia's overall exports.

The second-ranked export company is Gorenje with EUR 664 million exports. It is followed by the automotive company Revoz, the Sij group (Slovenian Steel Industry) and the Impol group.

Last year Krka increased exports by 6 percent, thus taking the first place on the list of Slovenia's top exporters from Gorenje after two years.

The most important export partner of the companies polled by Delo is Germany (EUR 4.45 billion exports), followed by Italy, Austria and Croatia.
