Mecaplast to expand production and hire additional 250 workers by 2015
Mecaplast plans to expand production and hire more workers in Zrenjanin. A major portion of Mecaplast's production in Serbia is used by Kragujevac-based Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) factory in the manufacture of new vehicles.
This was announced Wednesday by CEO Hapet Agobian during the visit of Mladjan Dinkic, the leader of the United Regions of Serbia and former finance and economy minister of Serbia, to that factory. Mr. Agobian also pointed out that the factory in Zrenjanin was put into operation a year earlier, adding that they had achieved a stable production of 650 cars a day and hired 210 workers.
- We've invested so much in production and staff, and we will now continue in the same fashion. Fiat is satisfied, we are satisfied, and we plan to expand the factory and find other buyers in the automotive industry in the future - Agobian told the press.
He stressed that the company's goal was to expand its factory in Zrenjanin and hire up to 250 workers by 2015.
The Mecaplast company headquartered in Monte Carlo is engaged in the production of plastic parts for cars and operates in 15 countries around the world.
