"Ekonomist magazin" to give "the best banker" award in Serbia

Magazine "Ekonomist magazin" announced that it would organize the selection of the banker of the year in Serbia for the first time in 2006. The award for "the best banker" will be given for the best business results, ethical operations and relation toward competition and clients, as well as for the entire image of the leader in the banking sector.

The jury consisted of businessmen and journalists made the list of nine leaders from six banks with the biggest market shares.

The nominated for the award are Dorte Veidig from ProCredit bank, Draginja Đurić from Banca Intesa, Ivica Smolić and Predrag Mihajlović from Komercijalna banka, Markus Ferstl, Rade Vojnović and Vladimir Čupić from Hypo Alpe Adria bank, Oliver Regl from Raiffeisen bank and Filip Gidez from Societe Generale bank.

All citizens of Serbia can vote on the web site and the banker of the year will be announced on December 6, 2006.
