"Podravka" wants to merge with "Bambi"
Croatian factory "Podravka" prepares entrance to regional market of food for children and Serbia is marked as one of the most interesting markets.
At the same time, "Podravka" also took a fancy to several companies in the region, with the help of which it should strengthen the business in the production of that food.
The list of "Podravka's" wishes contains Serbian company "Bambi" from Požarevac, Osjek-based IPK "Kandit", Banja Luka-based "Vitaminka" and Vinkovci-based "Vinka". Most of these mergings would strengthen "Podravka's" production of drinks - "Vitaminka" and "Vinka" with their fruit juices, whereas "Bambi" would contribute with its mineral water "Duboka".
Serbian "Bambi" is in the hands of American investment fund whose share is managed by London-based "Salford". "Bambi" will most certainly be offered for sale, but it is not excluded that it will go in the package with the merged companies - Vršac-based chocolate factory "Banat" and several dairies in Serbia, which have also been taken by the Fund.
