Mera to build factory for producing measuring systems for oil industry in Zrenjanin
City of Zrenjanin and the Mera company signed Friday (26 July 2013) an agreement on the sale of a building land in Zrenjanin-based Jugoistok Industrial Zone to that company for EUR 35,000.
Zrenjanin Assistant Mayor Ivan Devic told Beta news agency that Mera intended to use that 4,000 square meter land to build a factory for producing measuring systems for the oil and gas production, processing and transportation industry.
This investment is valued at about EUR 500,000. The plan is to hire 20 workers for a start. Works will be caried out in several phases with the first phase - preparation of the project and technical documentation - expected to commence late this year. The project should be fully implemented by June 2014.
Jugoistok Industrial Zone is situated in the southeast part of Zrenjanin, in the vicinity of the Zrenjanin-Belgrade main route, and it is already home to the operations of 13 investors.
