"Idea" opened first hypermarket in Serbia
Company "Idea", property of Croatian holding "Agrokor", opened the first hypermarket "Idea ekstra" in Serbia on October 26, 2006, in which it invested 20m EUR and employed 250 people.
General manager of that trade center, Nenad Baletić, said on that occasion that the hypermarket occupied 7,000 square meters and offered more than 40,000 articles of various goods. Quick shopping is enabled by work of 29 cashiers and existence of 550 parking places.
As a special offer, Baletić pointed out "always fresh" fruit and vegetables, more than 400 kinds of fresh-baked bread, baked goods and cakes, about 50 kinds of ready-made meals and salads, as well as wide assortment of fresh sea and river fish and sea fruit.
"Idea ekstra" hypermarket offers great selection of domestic products and this trade center encompasses another 11 outlets.
