German and Austrian banks offer Serbia interest-free loans for energy facilities
German and Austrian banks have offered Serbia interest-free loans for funding energy efficiency increase in buildings of Serbia - the Minister of Construction, Velimir Ilic, has said today.
He told to the reporters at the Hyatt which hosted a conference on green building and energy efficiency, that in Germany and Austria he got a favourable offer from their banks implying that if we buy equipment for "green energy" from them, we would be provided loans which we would pay only one percent for loan servicing and interest-free.
The Minister of Construction said energy savings that would thus be generated in energy efficiency increase in buildings, could pay for three to five years.
Ilic pointed out that in the energy efficiency field in the future up to 100,000 workers could be employed in Serbia and that only in Belgrade at this moment 10,000 people could be engaged.
