Donation of 38.000 Euro by the Greek Government to the Clinical Center of Serbia, in the framework of the Hellenic Plan for the Economic Reconstruction of the Balkans

On the 5th of October, the Ambassador of Greece in Serbia, Mr. Hristos Panagopoulos, inaugurated a project, concerning the establishment of a computer clinical information database network, as well as the installment of a state-of-the-art Ericsson MD-110 digital, ISDN telephone network at the Institute of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases of the Clinical Center of Serbia (Belgrade).

For the implementation of the project, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs donated 38.000 Euro, in the framework of the Small Projects Fund of the Hellenic Plan for the Economic Reconstruction of the Balkans.

During the inauguration of the project, both the Director of the Institute of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, Dr. Svetozar Damjanovic, and the Director to the Clinical Center of Serbia, Prof. Dr. Vojko Đukić, had the opportunity to thank the Ambassador of Greece for the donation and underline the valuable contribution of the project in their efforts to improve, and upgrade the services provided by the Institute. The Greek Ambassador described the project as “State of the Art” and expressed his satisfaction for its successful implementation.

Dr. Djuro Macut has initiated and managed this project on behalf of the Institute. His dedication and good choice of business partners has led to securing this European standard database and communication network for clinical center.
