Simo Vukovic named Reformer of the Year in Serbia - NALED presents awards for 2012

State Secretary of the Serbian Health Ministry Simo Vukovic is the winner of the Reformer of the Year Award, which is presented by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED).

As it was said at the Reformer of the Year awards ceremony held in the building of the Serbian parliament, Vukovic deserved this award by providing support to the "Ask When" campaign and by forming a team in the Ministry of Health that accepted NALED's recommendations for the simplification of procedures for maternity leaves and sick leaves longer than 30 days.

Besides, as it was pointed out, Vukovic has been actively working on the implementation of all recommendations listed in the NALED's Grey Book.

The mayors of Sombor and Krusevac, Nemanja Delic and Bratislav Gasic, were presented with special NALED awards for the reforms they implemented in local administration and for the improvement of business environment.

The Promoter of Reforms Award went to the National Broadcasting Corporation of Serbia (RTS) for its support to NALED's "Ask When" campaign and other related activities.

At the ceremony in the building of the Serbian parliament, NALED presented a promo video for the "Ask When" campaign and the fifth issue of its Grey Book containing 76 recommendations on which bureaucratic procedures to change or cancel. Grey Book is published in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
