Military-Overhaul Institute "Arsenal" in Tivat could soon become biggest private marina at the Adriatic sea
The fleet of the War Navy of the Army of SCG has been much reduced, but there will be more sale, in spite of the fact that Montenegro intends to keep the Navy.
Some of the vessels of the War Navy have already been given to the Police, when the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro took over the care of borders. Several old boats were given to the Fishing company "Pagar" from Tivat. The Egyptians bought five rocket boats and the negotiations about the sale of four coastal anti-ship system, the price of which is 5.5m USD, are close to end.
Also, several military land facilities, at the seaside, will be sold. The most interesting of all is the sale of the famous overhaul institute "Arsenal" in Tivat. Canadian businessman Peter Monk is the person who is most of all interested in that institute. He intends to buy "Arsenal" and to make it the big marina, one of the biggest at the Adriatic sea.
At the moment, War Navy owns about 40 vessels, most important of which are rocket frigate "Kotor", four rocket gunboats of type "Rade Končar 401". There are also three small diversion submarines of type "P-911", assault boat, "DBM-241" and school ship "Jadran".
