Telekom Srbija to acquire local cybersecurity company

The biggest Serbian telecommunications company, Telekom Srbija, is preparing the purchase of a stake in the cybersecurity company Pulsec doo from Belgrade, writes the Macedonian portal faktor.mk.

With the purchase of the stake, Telekom Srbija will practically gain control over that company, the Macedonian portal writes.

The Macedonian Commission for Protection of Competition was notified of this several days ago, due to the fact that Telekom Srbija operates in the Macedonian market, through the daughter company MTEL DOOEL Skoplje. – The Commission for Protection of Competition has received the notification of the concentration by which Telekom Srbija, with headquarters in Belgrade, acquires control over Pulsec doo, with headquarters in New Belgrade, Republic of Serbia, by acquiring a stake – the Macedonian Commission says in an announcement.

Pulsec is said to be a tech company which specializes in implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions.

The portal also adds that, for now, Telekom Srbija has not commented on the allegations about the purchase, because the process is not yet finished.
