WindEurope: 13 countries order wind turbines with capacity of 4.3 GW in Q3 2024

In the third quarter of this year, 13 European countries ordered wind turbines with a capacity of 4.3 GW, which is 13% less than in the previous quarter and a decrease of 9% compared to the same period last year, according to a new report by WindEurope, the European association for wind energy of which RES Serbia is a member.

Serbia is not part of the WindEurope report this quarter.

The Netherlands ordered the most wind turbines (810 MW), followed by Germany (592 MW) and Spain (387 MW).

In terms of manufacturers, Vestas received 46% of the total number of orders in 7 countries. In second place is a member of the Association RES Serbia, Nordex, with 43% of ordered capacities in 10 countries. The remaining 11% of orders were received by GE in 2 countries.


The report by the European wind energy association WindEurope tracked orders for 56 wind farms for the period between July 1, 2024, and September 30, 2024.
