The BIO4 Campus and the Italian partners, Arexpo and Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, have signed the Memorandum of Understanding at the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade.

The minister of science, technological development and innovations of Serbia, Jelena Begovic, pointed out that the signing of the document was a strategic turning point in the growth of the innovation ecosystem in Serbia and that it set the foundations for the exchange of knowledge and technologies.

According to her, this cooperation incites the development of joint projects which will connect our science communities, institutions, researchers, entrepreneurs, the startup ecosystem, but also the industries.

– The idea behind the BIO4 Campus is to gather experts in the fields of biomedicine, biotechnology, biodiversity, artificial intelligence and bioinformatics – she said.

The ambassador of Italy to Serbia, Luca Gori, estimated that the memorandum was a practical step toward solving some of the complex technological challenges faced in health protection, biotechnology and sustainable development.
