Reconstruction of Novi Pazar-Sjenica main route kicks off
Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Milutin Mrkonjic, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic and Minister without portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin made the commencement of EUR 30 million worth of works on the reconstruction of Novi Pazar-Sjenica main route official on October 14th, it was announced on the website of the Serbian government.
Mrkonjic stressed it was an important road for the region of Raska and Serbia as a whole because it represented a link to the future highway toward the south Adriatic, via Pester.
According to his words, these works are financed by Turkey's Exim Bank (85%), the Ministry of Infrastructure (RSD 60 million), and Putevi Srbije (RSD 112 million).
As he pointed out, the Serbian government is doing its best to have the works on roads between Novi Pazar and Sjenica and between Novi Pazar and Tutin, as well as the works on the bypass around Novi Pazar, carried out as planned.Mrkonjic also reminded that Turkey had provided a EUR 30 million loan for aforementioned roads.
Ugljanin underlined that the reconstruction of Novi Pazar-Sjenica main route was a joint project of governments of Serbia and Turkey.
