State borrowing approved for over RSD 80 billion - Loans for the National Stadium construction, the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica road and the bypass around Kragujevac

Members of the Parliament of Serbia adopted several laws enabling borrowing for infrastructure projects in the total value of RSD 80.7 billion (cca EUR 688.6 million), as well as the Law on Amendments to the Law on Payment Services.

Among the laws that enable borrowing, the most important is the Law On borrowing By The Republic Of Serbia from Bank Postanska Stedionica Joint Stock Company Belgrade for the financing of the urban infrastructure construction project and the National Stadium with access roads, submitted by the Government, in the amount of RSD 42 billion.

The Law on Borrowing of the Republic of Serbia with UniCredit Bank Srbija Joint Stock Company Belgrade was also adopted with the purpose of financing of the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica Project, submitted by the Government, in the amount of RSD 11.7 billion, and for that project the Law on Borrowing of the Republic of Serbia from Bank Intesa Joint Stock Company Belgrade, submitted by the Government, in the amount of RSD 15 billion.

The Law on Borrowing of the Republic of Serbia from OTP Banka Srbija Joint Stock Company Novi Sad was also adopted, for the purpose of financing the Project for the construction of the bypass around Kragujevac, submitted by the Government, in the amount of RSD 12 billion.

The MPs also adopted amendments to the Law on Special Conditions for the Implementation of the Project for the Construction of Apartments for Members of the Security Forces.
