The construction of the production facilities of the Italian company Ariston has begun in Nis, where the company will produce electric household appliances and where 300 workers should be employed by the end of 2027. EUR 75 million will be invested in the factory, which will be the first one in the industrial zone “North” in that city.

Ariston produces heating systems and boilers, and it built a small factory in Svilajnac in 2019.

The completion of the construction of the factory in Nis of 30,000 m2 is planned for December 2025.

The plan is for pumps for heaters to be produced in that facility initially, and for the production program to expand later on.

The ceremony of the laying down of the foundation stone for the new factory was attended by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the minister of economy of Serbia, Adrijana Mesarovic, the ambassador of Italy, Luca Gori, the executive chairman of Ariston Group, Paolo Merloni, and the chief operating officer of Ariston Group, Pierluigi Astorino.

Vucic said that, as soon as 2025, the factory’s exports would be worth EUR 240 million.

– This is a big and important company for Nis. The family company Ariston has annual revenues of EUR 3 billion, around 10,700 employees, and it exports to 150 markets. I am grateful to the family, to everybody from Italy who made that decision – Vucic said.
