Marking of beginning of production of electric car in Kragujevac

FCA Serbia will tomorrow officially mark the successful implementation of the project at the Stellantis factory in Kragujevac which pertains to the beginning of the production of the electric car Fiat Grande Panda. The ceremony, which begin at 3 PM, will also be attended by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares.

The new car model is made in two versions – electric and hybrid. It is a B-segment car, under four meters in length.

Vucic earlier announced the beginning of the test production, whereas serial production will start in two months.

The new model Fiat Grande Panda is inspired by a model from the 1980s, which, according to Stellantis, marks the return of the Fiat brand to the global market.

The price of the electric model Fiat Grande Panda is below EUR 25,000, whereas, with state subsidies, the base model in Serbia will cost around EUR 18,000.

This model uses a unique multi-energy platform and entails innovative solutions, such as an integrated spiral charging cable.
