Bread made from “T-500” flour to cost RSD 59 from July 1

The maximum sale price of the bread made from the “T-500” flour will be RSD 59, and the maximum producer’s price will be RSD 50.60, says the amended decree on the mandatory production and sale of this type of bread.

So far, a loaf has cost RSD 54, and the new prices apply from July 1.

Let us remind, the Government of Serbia has adopted the amended Decree on the Mandatory Production and Sale of Bread Made from the “T-500” Flour, whereby the price of that foodstuff is adjusted, considering the increase in the prices of the ingredients, the government announced.

– When it comes to consumers, the price increase will not significantly affect their standard. In order to prevent major disturbances and preserve the living standards of the population, the government limited the price of bread made from T-500 flour, and bearing in mind that the current price has been corrected in accordance with market trends, it will not be necessary to intervene by selling flour from commodity reserves after 1 July 2024 – it has been announced.

That means that only the flour quantities necessary for one month will be distributed, the announcement adds.
