TikTok advertising soon available in Serbia and region

The long-awaited possibility of advertising on the social network TikTok will become available in Serbia at the beginning of the second half of the year, and it is expected in the region as well. It is estimated that this will have a big impact on the whole market, and primarily on the brands which are already on TikTok, because they have experience with the platform and have gone through the introduction period.

– TikTok advertising will also be interesting to brands which are not yet on TikTok, because they will be able to advertise even without having a TikTok profile or any kind of experience in creating content on TikTok. Also, advertising on TikTok will mean a lot to agencies as well, because they will be able to provide an additional service to their existing clients, while also reaching new clients. Finally, the introduction of TikTok advertising will have an impact on the market through several additional factors such as the diversification of the advertising channels, the introduction of innovations in advertising and the potential increase in the prices of services of content creators – says Dejan Jankovic, Head of Growth in the Orange Trail agency.

When it comes to the advantages of advertising on TikTok compared to other social networks, he says that CPM, an indicator of reach, is much cheaper on TikTok (2.5x cheaper than on Meta). As for cost per click, TikTok again offers a value with a CPC which is 30% cheaper.


– TikTok users are more involved and it is less likely that they will leave the platform. Also, TikTok advertising has an impact on the sales. According to recent research, 49% of TikTok users buy a product or a service from the brand after seeing it advertised or reviewed on the platform – Jankovic points out and adds that the brands which advertise on TikTok first will profit from the very fact that they are ahead of the competition, but they will also have a bigger reach with a lower investment, as early adopters.

He also clarifies that TikTok enables the targeting of the target group in accordance with the interests, the demography, the behavior on the platform, as well as custom audience/lookalike targeting.
