National pavilion of Serbia at EXPO 2027 to have 8 floors and 6 underground levels – Tender for design opened

The Ministry of Finance has opened the tender for the preparation of the design of the pavilion of the Republic of Serbia for EXPO 2027, and the value of the procurement is estimated at RSD 9.99 million, without the VAT.

The future facility should have a basement and nine floors (including the ground floor), and have a maximum gross area of 30,000 m2. It can also have a maximum of six underground levels.

The facility should feature a multifunctional space, gallery space, that is, exhibition space, education features, as well as sections for the administration, crawlspaces, service spaces, logistics and communications.

The bidder is obliged to submit, along with the bid, a draft design of the pavilion of the Republic of Serbia – a textual and visual explanation of the concept of the design, as well as the facility’s exterior and interior (a 3D display of the facility with materialization). The draft has to contain an estimated price of the realization, that is, the construction of the facility based on the design of the pavilion of the Republic of Serbia for “EXPO 2027 BEOGRAD” without the VAT. Bids without the requested draft will be rejected as unacceptable.

The deadline for the preparation of the final design of the pavilion of the Republic of Serbia for EXPO 2027 Belgrade may not be longer than 90 calendar days, and bids may be submitted by June 14.

The national pavilion of Serbia for EXPO 2027 will be presented in a month at the latest, announced the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, at the beginning of May. He said on RTS that “it will be marvelous and the pride of every citizen of our country.”

Vucic announced that, in addition to the national stadium and the aquatic center, three thematical parks would also be built and added that there were talks with Legoland about the construction of entertainment parks – such as Disneyland.

There are also water parks, he added, as well as the construction of docking terminals on the Sava.
