The first in a range of workshops within the preparation of the necessary side documentation for the signing of the Agreement on the construction and delivery of the vehicles for the first phase of line 1 of the subway system in Belgrade were held at the PUC Belgrade Metro and Train with partners from the French company Alstom.

As announced by the PUC Belgrade Metro and Train, during the first cycle of the workshops, the technical details regarding the future functioning of the system were harmonized.

The workshop was also attended by the planning team hired for the preparation of the preliminary design of the Belgrade Subway project, the French company Egis and representatives of the consortium of two European companies, the German Deutsche Bahn and the French Systra, as well as the project managers of the first line and the depot for the Belgrade subway.

Alstom offers a wide range of equipment and services, from the construction of fast trains, metros, trams and e-buses, to integrated systems, infrastructure, signalization and digital mobility solutions.

The PUC Belgrade Metro and Train and the Secretariat for Public Transport of Belgrade already signed the Agreement on the provision of services with Alstom at the beginning of March this year, through which the documentation regarding the subway system as a whole will be prepared, which is primarily important for the construction of the depot, and then also for the construction of the entire line 1 of the subway.

This document is also a preparation for the main contract through which Alstom will carry out the designing, construction and commissioning of the transport system of the Belgrade subway.
