Jelena Tanaskovic appointed acting general manager of Serbian Railways Infrastructure

The former minister of agriculture, Jelena Tanaskovic, has been appointed acting general manager of the JSC Serbian Railways Infrastructure, reports the website of the Danas daily.

She was appointed by decision of the Government of Serbia.

– Jelena Tanaskovic is appointed acting general manager of the Joint-Stock Company for the Management of the Public Rail Infrastructure Serbian Railways Infrastructure Belgrade – says the decision published in the Official Gazette.

In 2022, Tanaskovic was appointed minister of agriculture, forestry and water management in the cabinet of Ana Brnabic.

Considering that, from 2018, she had held an important position in the Ministry of Finance, when she was appointed minister, the associates in that sector expressed hope that, as a close associate of Sinisa Mali, she would help agriculture become more visible in the government. When she was appointed minister, Jelena Tanaskovic emphasized as her main mission to secure sufficient food quantities and introduce e-Agrar, so that funds would be paid to agriculturists within “a normal deadline,” writes the Danas portal.
