Croatian Aircash to arrive to Serbia

Aircash, the first Croatian multi-currency cash wallet which is operational in EU states and Switzerland and has a million users, has announced its arrival to the market of Serbia.

This has been confirmed by Hrvoje Cosic, the company’s director, for Bloomberg Adria.

The issuer of the Aircash Mastercard prepaid card is a licensed institution for electronic money with the license from the Croatian National Bank which is valid in all EU states. They are registered in the EU register of electronic money institutions by the umbrella regulator EBA (European Banking Authority).

They are getting closer to the number of one million users and they unify all the necessary functionalities for quick, simple and favorable payments. In addition to Serbia, they plan to expand to markets in Europe as well, especially in the neighboring countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania.

Cosic announced that, in the coming months, they would present the service of allocating an IBAN to every user of the Aircash wallet.

– This service will enable quick payments from accounts of all banks to the Aircash app, instant transfers from Aircash to any banking account, as well as instant transactions from other mobile platforms such as PayPal, Revolut and similar ones to Aircash, while at the same time enabling the payment and withdrawal of that money with the Aircash Mastercard.

He says that the law regulations of the countries of the Western Balkans followed the EU regulations well, that the populace was digitally literate and that it accepted new trends and innovations.

– We are looking forward to beginning to provide Aircash services soon and we are hoping for mutual satisfaction and joint success. We don’t plan to provide banking services, the banks do that, so we are open to cooperation with banks – says Cosic.
